Palm shares jump despite poor results; analysts skeptical

Palm Inc. shares get a strong bounce Friday despite the fact that the smart-phone maker posted lower-than-expected results for its second fiscal quarter and Wall Street analysts said the odds are getting long that the company can mount an effective comeback.
