Stock Futures Set Positive Tone Ahead of Data with Joy Global (JOY) and Costco (COST) on the move

First look... Stock futures rose this morning, inspired as European markets and commodities rebounded from the prior-day's rout, with investors focused on economic data. Investors are hoping reports on initial jobless claims, private sector jobs and manufacturing will show the domestic economy is improving. The government will also release a revised estimate of first-quarter GDP before the opening bell. Asian markets finished the month bruised after concerns over the health of the Spanish banking system pushed stocks down across the region Thursday, with Australia and Japan recording their worst month in two years.
