This year's Electronic Security Expo (ESX), scheduled for June 25-29, 2012 in Nashville, TN, will introduce new networking opportunities for security integration and monitoring companies to connect with peers and colleagues in the industry.
With the discounted pricing deadline approaching — Friday, June 1 — the show is experiencing an overwhelming rush for expo pass add-ons and deluxe pass registrations. Popular events, like The ADS Security Backstage Central Station Tour, are sold out and on a waiting list only basis.
Favorites like the ESX Crawl, where attendees tour local bars and restaurants, and the Backstage Security Tours, where attendees visit and meet with representatives from the All Star Host Company, are joined by the new Happy Hour and ESA Professional Groups Kick-Off Reception.
"ESX is focused on growing and developing the industry, and there's no better way to do that than connecting attendees, vendors and service providers in a host of formal and informal networking opportunities," says ESX Chair George De Marco. "The industry grows stronger and more vibrant when relationships are cultivated in a positive environment at ESX."
Members of ESA's Professional Groups — the Young Security Professionals, Installation and Service Professionals and Sales and Marketing Professionals — will meet for a Kick-Off Reception on Monday, June 25, at 7 pm at the Whiskey Bent Saloon. The Young Security Professionals Group is sponsoring this new networking reception to allow members to re-connect with peers and start the ESX week off right.
ESX attendees will have the opportunity to go on a Backstage Security Tour of All Star Host Company ADS Security's central station on Tuesday, June 26, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Sponsored by Honeywell, a motor coach will take attendees to ADS's headquarters for a tour providing a view of the facility’s technology, design and state-of-the-art security systems. The tour will be followed by a cocktail reception with members of ADS's staff.
On Tuesday, June 26, at 7 pm, attendees will also have an opportunity to attend ESA’s Weinstock and Jackson Awards Celebration at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. Truly an industry inspiration, this event celebrates ESA’s top volunteer leader and a lifetime contributor.
The ESX Happy Hour (Wed., June 27, at 5 pm), sponsored by ADT's Authorized Dealer Program, Interlogix - A UTC Fire & Security Company and The Systems Depot, will feature food, drinks and live music on the show floor, providing an opportunity to network, relax and enjoy time with friends and partners in the industry.
One of ESX's signature events, the ESX Crawl, sponsored by Goldleaf Data Corporation, will head out to Nashville's Lower Broadway on Wednesday, June 27, at 7:30 pm. Stops will include Rippy's Smokin' Bar and Grill, Tootsie's World Famous Orchid Lounge, The Stage on Broadway and Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill. Click here to view a preview of this year's Crawl.
The week will culminate with the 7th annual SDM 100 Gala, honoring executives from the SDM 100-ranked security companies. The Gala, scheduled for Thursday, June 28, from 6 pm to 11 pm, will feature a 1940s theme with entertainment by Gwen Hughes and the Continental Orchestra and professional swing dancers performing and teaching dance steps of the era.
