GAIL and GDF Suez Sign Construction Agreement for $800 Million Kakinada Floating LNG Terminal

JOHANNESBURG--April 19, 2012--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--GAIL (India) Limited (BSE:532155) (New Delhi) and GDF Suez LNG (UK) Limited (London, England) have signed an agreement to construct a floating LNG terminal that will benefit Indian gas-fired power projects that are only able to operate at 50% plant load factor (PLF) because of a lack of adequate gas supplies.
