PR Log - Mar 12, 2012 - (United Kingdom – 9th March 2012) ExtraCare Charitable Trust has recently opened its second collection of alternative care homes in Milton Keynes. The new homes have been met with joy by the over 55s who are looking forward to a new way of living.
ExtraCare is known for its dedication to developing inspirational residential villages for older people across the country. Residents in the care homes are able to enjoy a healthier, more active and independent lifestyle thanks to the eclectic range of activities that are on offer.
The provision of life-changing activities and exciting range of health and leisure facilities enable residents to learn new skills and challenge themselves. For others, simply relaxing with friends and for them the restaurants, cafes and cinemas that are so often found in the grounds will be ideal.
The first alternative care homes to be opened in Milton Keynes are currently over-subscribed so the new village, Shenley Wood Village, comes at a perfect time. The first phase of the new care homes have now all been sold which sings praises for the work done at ExtraCare.
The first 184 apartments are now open and a further 116 will be completed in winter of this year. Each home has its own front door, kitchen, living room and either one or two bedrooms. For many, a patio or balcony is also available.
In addition to all the activities on offer, ExtraCare offers an award winning well-being service which is provided to all residents who need extra care.
